Critique Service
One of the things that has helped me a lot as a writer is receiving constructive feedback. It has helped me to identify my strengths and the areas I needed to improve. Useful feedback has also ensured that my work found a place in a literary zine or got turned into an audiodrama, and a critique service is what I would like to offer here. I will accept critiques for short stories and audiodrama scripts.
What you’ll receive
- Inserted comments in the text itself with suggestions, constructive feedback, the strengths of the story and where it could be improved.
- A separate document with overall remarks commenting on the flow and style of the manuscript as well as an in-depth analysis on characterization, structure, dialogue and anything else that grabs my attention.
Every manuscript will be read at least three times to ensure that the critique you receive is of the highest quality. Typos and grammatical errors will be corrected as I go but I cannot promise to weed them all out.

I also offer a translation service. I’m a native Dutch speaker from Belgium and fluent in English. I would be happy to translate blog posts, newsletters, social media posts, longer texts or any other type of content from Dutch to English or English to Dutch. About Me
My name is Signe and I’m a writer from Belgium. I have studied creative writing at The Open University UK. My short stories have appeared in The Seelie Crow and The Copperfield Review while my poetry has been published in Atrium Poetry.
I have worked on a number of audiodramas and radio monologues for The Alternative Stories and Fake Realites Podcast including the popular drama ‘Selkie.’ Other projects for audio include the story of a ghost who visits bakeries at night, a Christmas special and a monologue in which a fairy tree tells her tale. A new audiodrama that is inspired by dark folklore and witches will be produced soon. I’m also the co-founder of a new literary magazine that will launch in 2023. I’ve also written articles for Superstition Saturday about Flemish folklore, and a number of texts will soon be published in several magazines.
